The Principal of Staff Model Secondary School, University of Delta, Agbor, Pastor Festus Onyibe has commended the Vice Chancellor, University of Delta, Agbor, Prof Stella Chiemeke for attracting massive infrastructural development to the school which has placed it among the best in Nigeria.
Pastor Onyibe who gave the commendation during a chat with the UNIDEL Media Team (UMT) in his office, stated that Staff Model Secondary School has taken a better shape with class rooms and offices being rennovated for efficient service delivery.
On the level of teaching and learning, Pastor Onyibe posited that the teachers have been doing well with the highest level of dedication and commitment, noting that they were always punctual to class and well dressed.
While urging the teachers to continue to discipline the students in order to bring out the best in them, the principal expressed satisfaction at the level of performance of the students in recent state and national competitions where the school won laurels adding that the school recorded almost a hundred percent performance in the recent WAEC and NECO examinations.
Some of the teachers in the school, Mrs Grace Ogbu, Rev.( Mrs) Nkechi Ewiwilem, and Mr Olorunsaye Oluwole, in their separate interviews, gave kudos to Prof Stella Chiemeke for being proactive and result oriented.
They maintained that the Staff Model school has been running smooth academic activities and growing geometrically because of the sterling leadership qualities of the Vice Chancellor and assured her of their continued commitment to excellent teaching and training of the students.
On their part, the head boy of the school, master Ogboi Pleasure and the head girl, miss Happy Promise commended their teachers for imparting sound practical and theoretical knowledge in them.
They appreciated the management of UNIDEL for giving them a conducive learning environment, especially the equipping of science laboratories as well as the provision of sporting equipment and facilities.
Historically, the Staff Model Secondary School, UNIDEL has produced graduates who are today doing well in their different fields of endeavors. The school has produced world-class medical doctors, engineers, lecturers, and a host of others. The school is projected to be among the nation's best in a few years' time.
