Emenonye Christain, Symbol of Academic Excellence - UNIDEL

The Management of University of Delta, Agbor, has described late Associate Prof, Emenonye Christain as a symbol of academic excellence and leadership whose quality was manifested in his continued quest for academic and professional greatness.
The statement was made on Thursday, 9th May 2024, during the service of songs held at the University of Delta, Agbor, in his honour.
The Vice Chancellor of UNIDEL, Prof Stella Chiemeke, whose tribute was delivered by her Deputy, Prof Patricia Mbah, stated that the death of Emenonye came at a time his service was most needed in the institution.
"The pain of Emenonye's death was amplified by the fact that he was highly dedicated and result oriented." His quality of calmness, simplicity, honesty, and dedication will never be forgotten as he was a model to both students and fellow staff."
The first bible reading was taken by Peter Emenonye while the second was read by Loice Emenonye.
In a short exhortation, the General overseer of House of Peace and Deliverance Ministry, Agbor, Pastor Matthew Fidelis enjoined everyone to examine his or her life as death will surely come. Making reference to Hebrews 9:27, the clergyman said eternity was endless, which no one can escape.
The service of songs also featured Praise and Worship by the UNIDEL Band, tributes by friends and colleagues of late Emenonye as well as prayers for the family, which was anchored by Pastor John Oji.
Until his death, late Emenonye was a lecturer in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics in the Faculty of Science.
