VC Tasks Students On Academic Excellence.
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke, has commended the newly admitted students for turning out enmasse for the 2024/2025 orientation exercise.
Prof. Chiemeke made the commendation during the last lap of the orientation exercise at Owa-Oyibu and Owa-Alero Campuses, attended by students from faculties of Management Sciences, Social Sciences, Law, Engineering and Environmental Sciences.
She said she was impressed by the composure of the students during the two days’ event and urged them to take their studies seriously in order to graduate at the right time with excellent results.
The VC. also charged the students to maintain a high level of integrity and shun all forms of social vices.
At the two campuses, the Registrar, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, Bursar, Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu and the Librarian, Dr Mrs. Vera Okonoko tutored the students on the Rules and Regulations governing the University, Financial responsibilities of students and the importance of the Library.
Other resource persons who shared insights on different topics were Dr. Rufus ljeh, Prof. Kola Oladunmonye, Mrs. Sandra Akporherhe, Mr. Sunday Nwabuwe, Rev. Canon Obiaigwe and CAN. Silas Omobude from the NDLEA.
The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Patricia Mbah, Prof. Regina Arisi, Prof. Ben Nwanne, Dr. Andrew Ugbah, Prof. Isi Ikhuoria and a host of other Deans, Directors, and Heads of Departments attended the event.
Speaking to the UNIDEL Media after the exercises, the students expressed gratitude to the University Management for organizing the orientation exercise.
 They said they were blessed by the lectures and would adhere strictly to all rules and regulations guiding their stay on campus.
