*VC Charges Staff To Improve Themselves Academically And Professionally*
The
newly employed staff of the University of Delta Agbor, have been
charged to equip themselves Academically and Professionally.
The
Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Stella Chiemeke gave the
charge during a one day orientation for the newly employed staff at the
1000 Lecture Theatre, Main Campus, Agbor .
She admonished the staff to learn new skills in their field and be a vital assets to the University.
The
Registrar, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi handled the subject matter on "
University Governance, Rules and Regulations Governing University
Services".
He discussed the
University structures, policies and laid down rules and regulations for
smooth operations asked staff to remain law abiding as the University
Management has zero tolerance for Indiscipline, indolence and unethical
conducts.
Dr. ( Mrs.) Bridget
Malasowe presented a lecture on " Operation of the University Portal in
results compilation and upload", and took a cursory look at the key
features of the Kofa portal and it's management system.
On
Managing typical academic functions and duties, Prof. (Mrs.) B.O
Anyanwu dwelt extensively on setting of questions, moderation of
marking guidelines as well as attitude towards lectures.
Ven.
Jonathan Adudu, a clergyman, delivered the lecture on Managing Staff
and Students with Godly disposition. He enjoined staff to open their
heart to Jesus and discharge their duties effectively with the fear of
God.
He pointed out the hallmarks
of godly disposition which included simplicity, availability,
approachability, humility, compassion, forgiveness, gratitude,
self-discipline,love, obedience, knowledge and wisdom.
The one day workshop had question and answer session.
