NDLEA Warns Students Against Drug Abuse.
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has warned students in tertiary institutions to desist from drug abuse or face the wrath of the law.
The State Commander of National Drug Law enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Commander Wada Abubakar, gave the warning during the 2024/2025 orientation exercise for the newly admitted students of the University of Delta Agbor. Commander Abubakar, who was represented by Assistant Commandant Silas Omobude, stated that the Agency has continued to prosecute the war against drug abuse and was ready to deal ruthlessly with any student caught in the act. ACN. Omobude enumerated some of the consequences of drug abuse to include expulsion from school, criminal prosecution, damage to future career prospects as well as destruction of the body system. He charged students to stay away from drugs and focus on achieving their goals, adding that a drug- free life leads to a brighter future.

Prof. Chiemeke said the students were on a transformative journey and charged them to be law abiding, focused, and always do the right thing at the right time and with the right people. The Registrar, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, enjoined the students to meticulously obey all rules and regulations guiding their stay on campus and avoid destructive behaviour, which would affect their academic activities. The Bursar tutored the students on matters relating to all payments, especially school fees.
