*UNIDEL Holds Orientation for Pre- Degree/ Diploma Students*


University of Delta (UNlDEL) Agbor, on Wednesday, 6th March, 2024 held orientation exercise for the newly admitted students into the Pre-Degree/Diploma program for 2023/2024 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor Prof Stella Chiemeke who was represented by her Deputy, Prof Patricia Etuna Mbah congratulated the students on their successful admission into the program. She urged them to focus on their study and to display a high level of discipline. She also advised the students to obey all rules and regulations guiding their stay in the institution as obedience is better than sacrifice.
The Director of the Center for Part-Time Studies, Dr (Mrs). Florence Omumu in her speech advised the students to see themselves as bonafide students of University of Delta Agbor and reminded them, that their commitment to their studies is the Hallmark of great success.
While advising them to take the orientation exercise seriously, Dr Omumu tasked the students to strive for excellent result.
The Dean, Students Advisory Services, comrade Nwabukwu Azani tutored the students on security tips and other aspects of their academic life. He told them that the institution has zero tolerance for examination mal-practice and therefore, appealed to them to have personal timetable and start preparing on time for examination.
On Dress Code, Mrs. Abigail taught the students how best to dress while on campus. She noted that their dressing must be modest and avoid indecent dressing which portrays them as irresponsible children.
Mrs lmafidon from the Counselling Unit encouraged the students to always speak out and visit the counseling unit for any challenge.
She further advised the students to make good friends, manage stress and eat well for healthy living.
Mr Nduka Percy from the Admission Office spoke to the students on maintaining uniform names in their forms to avoid conflicting data.
