*DEPARTMENT OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND BUSINESS INNOVATION TO FACILITATE SCHOLARSHIP FOR FIRST CLASS GRADUATES. *
The Department of Entrepreneurship And Business Innovation, Faculty of Management Science, University of Delta Agbor, has assured the final year students who will graduate with first class of assistance needed to secure scholarship abroad.
The Head of the Department, Dr. Ernest Chukwuka who disclosed this during the orientation exercise for the year one students, said the essence of the scholarship was to encourage excellence.
He noted that the Department would do everything within its power to ensure that the students who graduated with first class would be offered automatic scholarships and sent abroad for further studies.
The HOD said the Department was committed to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, innovation and creativity, with competent lecturers who were ready to equip the students with the knowledge, skills and mindset needed to succeed in the business world.
While stating that the courses in the faculty were designed to be interactive, engaging and relevant to the current business landscape, he urged the students to develop strong work ethics and commitment to academic excellence.
The students were later given comprehensive lectures on key areas by resource persons which included Dr. Abude Peter, Dr. Egbule Solomon, Dr. George Agbele, Mr. Ossai Theophilus and Dr. Ernest Chukwuka and Dr. Iweka Andrew.
High point of the event was the presentation of awards to distinguished students who had the highest CGPA for 2023/ 2024 academic session.
The names as announced by the HOD were Chidima Benita Olisa( 4:35), Chinyenum Lucy ( 4:32) and Ujiro Nseabasi ( 4:40).
Dr. Peter Abude, a lecturer in the Department and one of the resource persons, gave the students twenty thousand naira each to encourage them to perform better.
