UNIDEL MATRICULATION

VC TASKS MATRICULANTS ON SOUND ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE 


It was a day of history on Thursday, April 27th, 2023 when University of Delta, Agbor, held its
Second Matriculation Ceremony in which it formally admitted  3,218 students into different departments in the 2022/2023 Academic Session.

In her Address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke strongly admonished the students to always study hard and strive for success throughout their years of study in the University. 

The Vice Chancellor   stated that the University would not only take pride in training the students in academic work but also in character .

She implored them to strive for excellence as the University had painstakingly provided state-of-the-art facilities and conducive environment for learning.

While encouraging the students to engage in healthy, robust debates in diverse academic fields, Prof. Chiemeke pointed out that UNIDEL had zero-tolerance for cult activities, examination malpractice and indecent dressing. She warned that students found engaging in such aberrant behaviour would face disciplinary actions.

In his Message, the Hon. Commissioner for Higher Education, Dr Kingsley Ashibuogwu who was represented by Mrs Bridget Odobor, a Director in the Ministry,  commended the students for choosing to study in UNIDEL which, according to him, had witnessed tremendous growth within two years of its establishment.
He promised that the  State Government would continue to maintain the institution to be among the leading higher institutions in Nigeria.

In a brief exhortation, Rev. (Prof) Mon Nwadiani of Faculty of Education, University of Benin advised the matriculants to shun every negative tendency and to always be of exemplary conduct for other students to emulate.
