**Faculty of Science Holds Seminar on Al**


Faculty of Science, University of Delta Agbor, has held its 4th seminar series on the use of AI for research.
Declaring the event open, the Dean, Faculty of Sciences, Prof. E. Osabohien lauded the academic staff for their steadfastness and commitment to the success of the accreditation exercise, which earned the faculty accreditation of its programmes.
Prof. Osabohien stressed that the series of seminars were designed to prepare the staff for the academic journey ahead and improve on the university world rankings. He implored them to take the seminars seriously for self-enrichment and development.
In her address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke thanked the Dean for his effort in sustaining the seminar series and enjoined them to remain focused, steadfast, and key into research as its benefits were endless.
The guest speaker, Prof. K. O Muka, while delivering his lecture on Al Revolutionizing Research Landscape, tasked staff to follow the trend of the tide in order to go far in their academic endeavors.
Some of the key areas that he dealt on included the components of artificial intelligence, the Al capabilities, and challenges of artificial intelligence.
The seminar, which took place at the Faculty Complex, provided an interactive session where staff asked questions bothering their academic areas.
The high point of the event was the presentation of awards of excellence to the guest speaker, Prof. Muka, K. O for his contributions to knowledge in the faculty of science during his one-year sabbatical leave.
The chairman of the local organizing committee, Dr. J.C. Morka appreciated the University Management for their support and encouragement in organizing the seminar. They also thanked the staff in the faculty for their contributions and co- operation.
Some notable personalities who attended the seminar were the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Patricia Mbah, the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr Sunny Ikeogwu and the University Librarian Dr Mrs Vera Okonoko Others included the Dean of Education, Prof Arisi Regina, the Dean of Arts Dr ( Mrs) Caroline Ohen, the chairman of ASSU, UNIDEL Chapter, comrade Desmond Ekokotu and Dr Chris lyamah.
