*UNIDEL VC Urges Deans,Faculty Officers To Work ln Synergy*
In
a bid to sustain high academic, moral and ethical standards in the
University of Delta Agbor, the Management of the Institution paid an
inspection visit to the Owa Oyibu and Owa Alero Campuses to assess the
level of teaching and learning.
The
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke who led Management was conducted
round the two campuses by some of the Deans and staff.
At the
Owa Oyibu Campus, the Vice Chancellor commended the Deans of Law, Prof.
C. Okubor, and Social Sciences, Prof. Ben Nwanne for the smooth and
early kick off of lectures.
For
lectures involving large number of students, she directed the Dean of
Law, to provide public address system in order to have good service
delivery.
At
both campuses, the Vice Chancellor charged the Faculty Officers to work
in synergy with their Deans especially in the areas of providing
necessary tools for teaching to thrive.
She
told the Head Department of Fine and Applied Arts to ensure that their
drawing tables were adjusted, just as she also directed the Faculty
Officer of Faculty of Environmental Science to repair the Faculty
reception chairs.
Both officers were given a week to affect the directives.
On
dress code by students, Prof. Chiemeke expressed displeasure on the
failure by some students, particularly at Owa Oyibu Campus to key into
UNIDEL mode of dressing. She warned the students to change and abide by
the school rules and regulations, or risk being subjected to
disciplinary actions.
She directed Prof. Regina Arisi and Mr. Benedict Utalor to ensure proper monitoring of the students to avoid indecent dressing.
The
Vice Chancellor was accompanied by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof.
Patricia Mbah, the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr.
Sunny Ikeogwu and the Librarian, Dr. (Mrs.)Vera Okonoko.
