The Vice Chancellor of University of Delta, Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke has charged staff and students of the institution to take adequate care of  their health in order to remain healthy and perform effectively in their various assignments.

Prof. Chiemeke gave the charge during the October edition of UNIDEL Prays held on Wednesday, 2nd October,  2024 at the main campus.

 She said despite prevailing  challenges in life, staff and students should learn how to  manage their time, visit the doctor for regular check up, seek help from friends and be happy always.

The Vice Chancellor also urged both staff and students to visit the counselling unit of the University for advice on how to cope when in stress.

While emphasizing the need for them to serve God with all their  hearts, she advised  them to always express appreciation to God always no matter the challenges they face.

" Be passionate with your work. Always be on your duty post with well spelt out programmes and above all, draw closer to God".

In a message titled " Let us begin with God" with Bible reference from Proverb 16:1-3, the guest preacher, Dr Oji John enjoined staff and students to always seek the face of God as he alone controls the activities of man.

" As Christians, start your day with God. As staff and students, ask God for direction in whatever you do".

Dr. Oji urged the staff and students of UNIDEL to take the monthly program seriously because of the abundant benefits in prayer and thanksgiving.

The program which featured Praise and Worship witnessed moment of intercessory prayers anchored by Dr( Mrs) Asabor.

In a closing remarks, the Registrar, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi commended the Management for giving the intercessory committee the necessary support to sustain the program which has significantly contributed towards the rapid growth of the institution.

Barrister Omagbemi implored all staff to remain prayerful and take their work seriously.
