The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Delta Agbor, has conducted its orientation exercise for the newly admitted students for 2024/2025 academic session.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Helen Ajayi in her address, congratulated the students on their successful admission into the University and charged them to see their academic journey in the faculty as one with endless possibilities where innovation meets tradition and science blends with nature.
She enjoined them to take their studies seriously as they would be taught and guided by a team of world- class educators and researchers, who would inspire them to think creatively and critically about the issues facing the country and the world.
Prof. Ajayi thanked the staff of the faculty for their continued dedication and work, noting that their efforts were making the faculty a beacon of excellence and innovation.
The orientation exercise featured impactful lectures from resource persons, which included Dr. Ijeh Rufus, Mr. Atufe, Dr. Hillary Moseri, Dr. Clifford Umeri, Dr. Onyemaechi Ugboh, Dr. (Mrs.) Apaokueze, and Mr. Romanus ldegbekwu whose lecture was delivered by Mrs. Stella Amatesiro.
The Registrar of the institution, Barr. Richmond Omagbemi and the Dean of the faculty of Environmental Sciences, Prof. Isi Ikuoria.admonished the students to imbibe the agriculture business as the gains are endless.
The chairman of the planning committee, Dr. ( Mrs) Eunice Akwuba appreciated the University Management for their unwavering support towards the growth and development of the faculty. She also thanked the Dean for the massive and necessary support given to the organizing committee.
