We Are Happy With UNIDEL Management - SSANU
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities ( SSANU) has expressed satisfaction with the cordial relationship existing between UNIDEL management and it's local chapter.
The Vice Chairman of SSANU who was represented by comrade Monday lsu, the South South Zonal Secretary made the disclosure on Wednesday, 23rd November,2023 when he paid a courtesy call on the Management of UNIDEL.
Comrade lzu stated that SSANU was organic in nature and would continue to ensure that the welfare of its members were protected.
He noted that his visit to UNIDEL was to nurture the new branch in the institution ( UNIDEL), listen to them and give advice where necessary.
The unionist said it has been on record that SSANU and UNIDEL Management have been working in synergy since the establishment of the citadel of learning in 2021 and reiterated SSANU's commitment to ensure that the production of manpower as well as welfare of all SSANU members are given priority attention.
Comrade lzu posited that SSANU was not a parallel organ to management and urged the branch to always draw management's attention to any burning issue through dialogue.
The Vice Chancellor of University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke thanked comrade lzu Monday for the visit and expressed her gratitude to the SSANU, UNIDEL branch for maintaining a cordial working relationship with management which has brought stable peace and smooth academic activities on campus.
The acting chairman of SSANU, UNIDEL, Comrade Oghenekaro Umukoro commended Prof. Stella Chiemeke for her sterling leadership qualities, motherly advice and massive development strides in the institution.
He said the union will continue to engage the management in issue based - discussions capable of transforming the University to an enviable height.
At the Vice Chancellor's office to receive the SSANU National leader were the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr Sunny Ikeogwu and the University Librarian Dr (Mrs) Vera Okonoko.
Also present at the courtesy visit, were the Secretary comrade Chuks Aselue, the Public Relations Officer comrade Ufuoma Ejovi, comrade Edith Esegbue Treasurer, comrade Simeon Imoni- Ogbe Financial Secretary, comrade Abel Onyeator Assistant General Secretary and comrade Amaka Ofume, Women Leader.
