*UNIDEL Prays: VC Charges Staff, Students to Remain Focused, Steadfast, and Prayerful*
The Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, Prof Stella Chiemeke, has changed staff and students of the institution to remain focused, steadfast, and prayerful while contributing towards the growth of the institution.
The VC gave the charge on Thursday, February 1,2024, during the Intercessory Prayers service, which was held at the 1000 capacity lecture hall. She said that God has been very gracious to the institution, and there was a need to always seek his face and acknowledge his presence in all the activities of the institution.
In his message titled" I will walk among you and l will be your God," the guest preacher, pastor JC.
Ehiwario posited that God was ever ready to be with His people despite the rate of evils that were on geometric rate.
The clergy said that for one to achieve anything in life or enjoy his promises, one must obey God's commandments strictly and admonished workers to do their work diligently and expect the desired results.
Pastor Ehiwario added that there is no peace for the wicked, and God only prosper those who do the right thing.
The monthly program, which had the venue filled to capacity, also featured Praise and Worship and prayers.
In a vote of thanks, the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi thanked the staff and students for taking the program seriously.
He urged staff to carry out their primary assignment assiduously and shun indecent and unethical behaviours such as laziness, destroying one's reputation, and dissemination of baseless news.
Notable persons in the event included the Vice Chancellor Prof Stella Chiemeke,the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Patricia Etuna,the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu and the University Librarian Dr Mrs. Vera Okonoko.
Others were the Deans, heads of department, directors, staff, and students.
