Africanwatch inducts UNIDEL VC into Hall of Fame


The Indefatigable Vice Chancellor of the University of Delta Agbor, Prof Stella Chiemeke, was on Saturday, 18th May 2024, inducted into the prestigious African Legendary Hall of Fame (ALHF) byAfrikanwatch Network.
At the 13th Annual Lecture Award and Hall of Fame held at College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos, the Afrikanwatch stated that Prof. Chiemeke was presented with the award because of her immense contributions towards the growth of education in Nigeria, particularly in UNIDEL, where she has ensured the enthronement of wholesome moral behavior and peaceful and academic learning environment.
Speaking to the press after the induction, the Vice Chancellor, who was accompanied by the DVC, Prof. Patricia Mbah and the Bursar, Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu, as well as family members, said she would continue to show commitment to academic excellence and ethical discipline among Nigerian students.
The guest lecturer, Prof. Hope Eghagha delivered the lecture on" Nigerian Politics of Today: The Quest for a National Rebirth, Reclaiming the ldentity of a Nation."
According to Prof. Eghagha, the body politic, has suffered atrophy through official corruption, gross incompetence, and a shaky security architecture. He, therefore, said Nigeria needs a vigorous shaking to be reborn.
In the lecture, he took a cursory look at some preliminary observations and assumptions, challenges to national rebirth, and recommendations.
Earlier, the chairman of the event, Mr Anthony Adefuye, in his keynote address, commended Africanwatch for organizing the impactful program. He congratulated the inductees and urged them to remain proactive and continue to grow the country in their own capacities.
