*UNIDEL Registry ls Undergoing Remodeling, says Barr Omagbemi.

The Registrar of the University of Delta Agbor, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, has said that the Registry is still undergoing major remodeling, redesigning and reorganization in line with standard University administrative principles and practice.
Barrister Omagbemi stated this on Monday, 22nd January, 2024, during a press interview with UNIDEL Media Team (UMT).
The legal icon who joined University of Benin in 1992 and rose to the position of Senior Deputy Registrar before becoming the Pioneer Registrar of UNIDEL in 2021 said it has not be so smooth since he assumed duty but said, he was able to tackle the challenges of first resource verification in 2021, staff recruitment and recent accreditation exercise because of the proactive nature of the Vice Chancellor, Prof Stella Chiemeke, whom he described as God-sent.
He said working with the Vice Chancellor was a divine arrangement that has made it possible for the citadel of learning to experience speedy growth and development.
On staff attitude towards work, Barrister Omagbemi, who is a member of NBA,NIM,ANUPA, and CIPA, expressed anger and dissatisfaction.
He said most staff, especially non teaching, have been displaying a lackadaisical attitude without being mindful of the negative consequences.
He added that going late to work and dressing indecently have become a perpetual habit of some staff and warned such staff to desist and join in building the institution rather than destroying it.
"UNlDEL is our Jerusalem, Let's build it by taking our work seriously. We need everyone's ideas for growth and development. Let's imbibe the right attitude and shun eyeservice, destroying staff image and circulating fake information."
The Registrar noted that he has more value to add to ensuring that the university meets global visibility and standards.
He, therefore, reiterated his commitment in training and retraining of staff in order to follow the current trend of administration.
Barrister Omagbemi applauded the University host communities for the prevalence of peace recorded in the University environment so far and appealed to them to graciously make accommodations affordable for the students as the University hostels cannot accommodate all the students.
The Chief Administrative Office of UNIDEL also acknowledged the contributions of the Senate, management team, and all heads of different programs and urged them to remain focused, steadfast, and ensure that staff under them do the right thing at all times in order to attract favour and blessings from God.
