*Be Passionate About Your Career, VC Tasks UNIDEL Students*
The
Vice Chancellor of University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke has
asked students of the institution to be enthusiastic and dedicated to
their chosen profession.
Prof.
Chiemeke gave the advice during the maiden career talk series organized
by the Department of Biological Sciences, University of Delta Agbor.
She disclosed that being passionate about one's career could lead to greater job satisfaction, motivation and success.
In
her welcome address, the Head of Biological Science Department, Dr.(
Mrs.) P.C Chijindu said the theme of the program "Thrive where you are
planted" emanated from the department drive to motivate students,
increase satisfaction, stimulate interest and improve students
performance across units.
She
appreciated the Vice Chancellor and her management team for giving her
the platform to impact positively on the students and improve academic
excellence.
The department in a bid to encourage students performance, presented awards to deserving students.
Jessica
Chukwunonso Okocha with the highest CGPA of 5.00 in year three received
fifty thousand naira from the Vice Chancellor and twenty five thousand
naira from Prof. Macdonald ldu , the guest speaker.
Other
students given certificate for their outstanding performances were
Flourish Divine, Okeoghene Omos Akpos, Rhima Precious, Purity
Achibushere, Usor Emmanuel, Okoh Ozioma, Goodnews Idehen and Nkeiru
Clara who also received twenty thousand naira each from the Vice
Chancellor.
