*Ika Anglican Diocesan Charity Foundation Presents Scholarship To 22 UNIDEL Students*
The
lka Anglican Diocesan Charity Foundation based in Boji Boji Owa, Delta
State, has awarded scholarships to 22 deserving and indigent students
of University of Delta Agbor.
The
coordinator of the foundation, Evangelist Bama Ngozi said the generous
gesture was to encourage academic excellence and support students in
achieving their education goals.
She stated that the award was a testament to the foundation's commitment to promoting education and empowering young people.
She
averred that by providing financial assistance, the lka Anglican
Diocesan Charity Foundation was helping to alleviate some of the
burdens associated with pursuing higher education.
Presenting
a paper titled "The Disadvantages of Social Ills, Moral Decadence and
Gender based violence and the disadvantages of living with a very high
moral life in times like this ", Ven. Micheal Ayomipo Okoh, the
representative of the Anglican Bishop of lka , Rev. Godfrey Ekpenisi,
said the issue has become pervasive problems in the society affecting
both communities and the nation as a whole.
Rev.
Micheal urged the students ( beneficiaries) to maintain a high moral
life that could bring personal integrity and respect to them.
The
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke thanked the Charity Foundation
for recognizing the students of UNIDEL for two consecutive years .
The
Dean of Education, Dr. Florence Omumu congratulated the students who
received the scholarship and charged them to make judicious use of it by
putting more attention on their studies.
Speaking
on behalf of the awardees, Favour Philip lauded the Ika Anglican
Diocesan Charity Foundation for the scholarship and prayed God to
continually guide the members and empower them in their future
endeavors.
The high point of the
exercise was the presentation of cheques to the 22 students by the Vice
Chancellor, UNIDEL, Prof. Stella Chiemeke.
