*Mbiri Community Hosts UNIDEL Management, Pledges Support*


The people of Mbiri Community in lka North-East Local Government Area of Delta State have commended the Management of University of Delta Agbor for speedy growth within three years.
The Obi of Mbiri, His Royal Majesty, Dr lfeanyi Alekwe, gave the commendation when he played host to the Management of UNIDEL on Thursday, 30th June 2024.
Dr Alekwe pointed out that his kingdom was ready to give every necessary support to the institution to complement his growth and development.
"We are proud to receive your team today. We are delighted to inform you that we have been seeing the massive development being recorded in your institution. We shall, in our best ways, support the institution for further growth and expansion."
Responding, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke said management was on fact finding mission based on the request made by the community and appreciated the Obi and his people for their hospitality, continued support, and cooperation in advancing the institution.
Prof. Chiemeke also disclosed that their request would be forwarded to the Governing Council for necessary action.
The Vice Chancellor was accompanied by her Deputy, Prof Patricia Etuna, the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr Sunny Ikeogwu and the University Librarian Dr (Mrs) Vera Okonoko.
Others were the Dean of Agriculture, Prof. Helen Ajayi, the Director of Academic Planning Dr Anthony Ukpene, Director of Works engineer Evans Ogwu, as well as Dr Ugboh Onyemaechi and Dr Clifford Umeri.
