*UNIDEL Inaugurates Students Union Executives*


The pioneer officers of the student union Executive of the University of Delta Agbor have been inaugurated.
The Registrar of the Institution, Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, who administered the oath taking, enjoined the students to discharge their duties creditably with the fear of God.
In her address, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Stella Chiemeke, while congratulating the students, asked them to obey the rules and regulations, guilding their studentship, and build a good partnership and synergy with the management.
Prof. Chiemeke also implored them to strike a balance between their academics and their students' union activities and desist from social vices such as cultism, gangsterism, and examination malpractice.
In his inaugural speech, the pioneer President of the Students Union Executive, University of Delta Agbor, comrade lghodaro Peter commended the Management and the election committee for conducting an election adjudged as the best in Nigerian Universities by observers.
Comrade lghodaro said he would operate an open-door policy where the voices of the students will be heard, and their concerns addressed.
"I want to reiterate my profound gratitude to everyone for trusting me with the privilege to serve you. Together, we will write a new chapter in the history of the University of Delta, Agbor.
Those inaugurated were the president, Peter Ighodaro, Vice President Williams Christabel, Secretary Okolo Wilma Deputy General Secretary Onwuka Dumkele, Financial Secretary Chukwuekwu Fortune, Treasurer Unabor Paul and Auditor Okolie Kosisochukwu.
Members of the legislature also took their oath of office.
Those who witnessed the inauguration included the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Patricia Mbah, the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr Sunny Ikeogwu and the University Librarian Dr Mrs Vera Okonoko Others included some deans, the director of the academic program, and a host of others.
