**Interactive Session: UNIDEL Management Commends Academic Staff, Tasks Them on Ethical Standard**

The Management of University of Delta Agbor has commended the academic staff for their productivity, commitment, and immense contributions towards the growth of the institution.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Stella Chiemeke gave the commendation during an interactive session between the Management and Academic Staff at the 1000 lecture theatre, main campus.
Prof. Chiemeke stated that she was highly impressed with the level of teaching and learning witnessed during the management tour of the campuses recently.
She, however, said a lot of jobs still need to be done in order to sustain the solid foundation that has been laid in the school.
"I want to express my gratitude on behalf of management to all academic staff for their hard work and co-operation. God has been very gracious to this management. I want to implore you all to keep doing the right things. "
"Today, we have gathered for an interactive session to address burning issues that concern the University. I want us to collectively share ideas that would transform this University. "
The Vice Chancellor condemned the attitude of some academic staff who miss lectures, sell textbooks because of marks, and engage in other unethical behaviour. She warned them to desist from acts capable of giving the school a bad image or they would face discipline actions.
On the development of teaching proficiency, Prof. Chiemeke tasked the staff to be actively involved in research, training, and retraining as well as attending conferences.
While urging the staff to always be in their lectures on time, she urged them to discipline the students and give them necessary moral advice that would make them great ambassadors.
"We need to discipline our students like our children. At all times, they must dress decently and as lecturers, you have a responsibility of practicing what you teach in the classroom."
The interactive session provided opportunity where the staff asked pertinent questions bothering on teaching, personal growth, security, welfare, and students' lives on campus. Answers were given accordingly by the management team.
The exercise had in attendance the Deputy Vice Chancellor Prof Patricia Etuna Mbah, the Registrar Barrister Richmond Omagbemi, the Bursar Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu and the University Librarian Dr Mrs. Vera Okonoko. Deans, heads of department, directors, and all the academic staff were also present.
