*UNIDEL VC Commends Delta State Contributory Health Commission For Sustained Collaboration*
The
Vice Chancellor of University of Delta Agbor, Prof. Stella Chiemeke has
commended the Delta State Contributory Health Commission for building a
sustainable collaboration with UNIDEL, aimed at supporting the More
Agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
Prof. Chiemeke gave the commendation when she played host to the commission led by it's Director, Olorogun Dr. Issac Akpoveta,
She
said she was impressed by the number of UNIDEL students who have
enrolled into the contributory health scheme and charged them to
continue the registration as more students were being admitted for
different academic programmes.
Earlier,
Dr. Akpoveta who was accompanied by Akpofure Emmanuel, Director of
Planning Research Statistics and ICT, and Barr. Charles Ojakovo,
Consultant, explained the importance of the commission.
He
stated that one of the key components of the commission was the
provision of health insurance coverage to students in tertiary
institutions and ensure that they have access to quality health
services.
He further disclosed
that the commission would continue to partner with the Institution and
ensure that UNIDEL students access their healthcare services at the
accredited facilities across Delta State.
The
team was received by the Vice Chancellor Prof. Stella Chiemeke, the
Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Patricia Mbah, the Registrar, Barrister
Richmond Omagbemi and the Bursar, Mr. Sunny Ikeogwu and the Librarian,
Dr. Mrs Vera Okonoko.
