UNIDEL STUDENT SHINES AT UNDERGRADUATE PRAGMATIC COMPETITION

Ogwueleke Precious Isioma, a 200-Level student in the Department of Languages ( English Unit) in the Faculty of Arts, University of Delta, Agbor took 2nd position in the Undergraduate Pragmatic Competition held recently at Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo.
The Competition was organized by the Pragmatics Association of Nigeria (PRAN) in conjunction with the Department of English, Faculty of Humanities, Ajayi Crowther University Oyo as part of events marking their 2023 lnternational Conference.
Precious who was presented with a certificate by the President of PRAN, Prof Akin Odobunmi, was officially introduced to the Vice Chancellor, Prof Stella Chiemeke by the Dean of the Faculty of Arts, Dr( Mrs) Carol Ohen.
The VC, While commending Precious for making the University proud, urged him to work harder to enable him earn more laurels for himself and UNIDEL.
Narrating his experience at the competition, Precious said he was glad to represent the University. He disclosed that students were tested on written English.
He appreciated the Management of UNIDEL for giving him all the necessary assistance which made it possible for him to participate in the Competition.
