*Faculty Of Agriculture Holds Maiden Orientation*


Faculty of Agriculture, University of Delta Agbor, on Friday,16th February,2024 held orientation exercise for newly admitted students for 2023/2024 academic session.
In a welcome remark, the Dean of the faculty, Prof. Helen Ajayi congratulated the students on their successful admission into the faculty and charged them to focus seriously on their study in order to graduate with sound result.
The Dean enjoined the students to shun all social vices and adhere strictly to all the rules and regulations guiding their stay in the institution.
The Vice Chancellor of UNIDEL, Prof Stella Chiemeke in her opening remarks advised the students to make their parents proud as the pioneer student of the faculty by aiming for excellent result.
"I wish to congratulate you all on behalf of the University Management on your admission into this great Faculty. I urge you to engage with your peers, seek guidance from lecturers and maintain highest level of discipline."
"In few years from now, you will be challenged, inspired and empowered to think beyond the ordinary, to question the status quo, and to contribute meaningfully to the world around you."
The Vice Chancellor enjoined the students to remain law abiding, dedicated, respectful and see themselves as the future men and women who, would change the narrative especially on Food Security being faced in Nigeria.
Lectures on Financial matters Use of the Library and Students Matters were taught by Mr Sunny Ikeogwu,Dr (Mrs) Vera Okonoko and Dr Amaechi Ehimatie respectfully, while Dr (Mrs) Imafidon lectured the students on Students and Counselling. The students' portal), Security Tips and Programmes in Faculty of Agric were handled by Dr( Mrs) Malasowe and Dr Ugboh Onyemechi.
The orientation exercise witnessed the presence of Deans of other faculties, heads of department in the faculty as well as non-teaching staff.
In a vote of thanks, Dr( Mrs) Tessy Apakueze appreciated the University Management for providing the needed assistance to hold the exercise which recorded huge success.
