UNIDEL Holds 13th Induction Ceremony
The Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria ( TRCN) has inducted 255 graduates including NCE holders of the University of Delta, Agbor as professional teachers.
In a welcome address, at the event which took place on Tuesday , 8th October, 2024, the Vice Chancellor of the University , Prof Stella Chiemeke said she was delighted to witness the ceremony, and described teachers as the unsung heroes of the society.
She congratulated them on the success of the program and urged the inductees to be innovative and to recalibrate their teaching tools to meet up with the present teaching standards.
The Vice Chancellor disclosed that as critical stakeholders in the education sector, a lot rests on their shoulders and urged them to be mindful of their behavior and conduct at all times.
In his address, the Registrar/ Chief Executive Officer , Prof. Ajiboye Josiah , who was represented by Mr Okunola Abimbola called on the inductees to keep the teaching profession alive by being teachers with integrity and impeccable character .
He enjoined them to be role models and to use every available means to upgrade themselves in line with the latest technological advancement in the teaching profession.
Prof. Josiah commended the UNIDEL Vice Chancellor and her team for keeping the legacy of the induction program alive.
On his part, the Acting Director of TRCN/PDE Unit, Dr Justice Oduma, commended the University Management for providing the necessary assistance for the hosting of the event. He charged the students to remain focused and to be good ambassadors of the University.
The Dean, Faculty of Education, Dr( Mrs) Florence Omumu appreciated the Management and the TRCN officials for their commitment and contributions towards the growth of Education.
Speaking on behalf of the inductees, Mrs Edobor Stella thanked the UNIDEL Management for providing a conducive learning environment assuring that they would uphold the integrity of the profession.
