Governing Council

The Vice-Chancellor serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Academic Head of the University of Delta, Agbor. Responsible for the day-to-day administration of the university, the Vice-Chancellor provides visionary leadership to the Senate, guides the institution’s academic programs, and implements the strategic policies enacted by the Governing Council to foster global academic excellence across all three campuses.

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor acts as a primary administrative pillar, assisting the Vice-Chancellor in the day-to-day management, academic development, and strategic operations of the university. This office plays a vital role in supervising academic policies, managing student affairs, and coordinating activities across all three campuses to ensure seamless institutional growth and regulatory compliance.

The Registrar serves as the Chief Administrative Officer of the University of Delta, Agbor, running the institution’s administrative engine and reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor. As a Principal Officer, the Registrar acts as the statutory Secretary to the Governing Council, the University Senate, Congregation, and Convocation. This office is responsible for safeguarding the integrity of academic records, overseeing student admissions and graduations, managing student secretariat services, and enforcing administrative policies across all three campuses

The University Librarian serves as the Chief Academic Support Officer and custodian of the university’s intellectual assets. Responsible directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the University Librarian oversees the strategic development, administration, and modernization of the physical and digital university libraries across all three campuses. This office ensures that students, researchers, and faculty members have seamless access to cutting-edge e-learning resources, global databases, and standard research literature necessary to drive innovation and academic excellence.

The Bursar serves as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and financial adviser of the university, reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor. As a Principal Officer, the Bursar manages the university’s financial engine, providing strategic leadership over fiscal policies, budgetary planning, and financial reporting. This office is responsible for collecting university revenues, managing assets, disbursements, and ensuring total accountability, absolute transparency, and strict statutory compliance across all operations and campuses.
